Environment (Devices, Browser, User type)

Device: macOS Catalina - Version 10.15.7 Browser: Google Chrome Version 88.0.4324.192 (Official Build) (x86_64) User type: User

Description

When navigating the Our Towns homepage using the Screen Reader and Keyboard, I noticed there is a hidden element that links to the Atlantic news website. It seems to appear at both the top and bottom of the page, as the first element and last element in the header and footer

Expected Behavior

I expected there to be no hidden elements within the website

Actual Behavior

I came across two hidden links leading to The Atlantic News Page

Steps to Reproduce Issue

  1. Navigate to Our Towns
  2. Activate Screen Reader
  3. Use the Tab key and Shift+Tab to navigate the page
  4. Observe that there is an all-black hidden element in the header and footer
