Graphics/font problems on DSJ2 (Deluxe Ski Jump 2) on MacBook Air M1 #2460

Hello, I've tried to run old game on my MacBook Air M1 but no success for now..

I downloaded DSJ2 DOS game from www.mediamond.fi/dsj2/downloads/ but I can't play it - there are some issues in displaying Menu (graphics? fonts?) - see screenshot below. I managed to skip menu but game not playable (black screen, no interaction). I've tried to use conf settings from DSJ forum but it does't help (tried sdl and sdl2).

Any ideas how to resolve it?

Operating system: BigSur 11.2.3 MacBook Air M1 (8GB/256GB) DOSBox-X release version : dosbox-x-macosx-arm64-20210415200541 (0.83.13)

I could not download your config file (file missing likely from age) but from having an experiment it looks like you may have output=surface set as that gave me the same results. Although I did not get it again when I went back in to grab a screenshot, weird...

I personally found this to work quite well (on Windows) oddly it needs a lot of cycles to avoid sound glitches.
