Changing CPU core to "Normal core" worked for me. Hope it helps. .
maron2000:
Yes, setting the CPU core to 'Normal core' got me past the splash and into a spreadsheet. Thank you, maron2000!
And thanks to the DOSBox-X team for excellent DOS emulation.
Unfortunately, my account is has been experiencing issues beyond my control; I hope this thread gets into public view...

At least 0.83.21 on at least all Windows x64 builds
Describe the bug
Lotus 1-2-3 Release 3.4a hangs when its splash screen is getting displayed, freezing DOSBox-X and forcing a reset. Already tried were various combinations of emm, xms and umb settings within the configuration file, as well as REMing out all environment variables in the Autoexec.bat section to do with Lotus 123. Different builds of DOSBox-X were used (i.e. SDL1, SDL2, MinGW) to test the configurations, all of which failed to execute Lotus beyond the initial splash. This bug should be consistently reproducible just by executing 123.EXE, and the debugger output is always the same. Included are captures of both the frozen screen and debugger output, the latter suggesting certain INT 15 functionality is absent in the emulated environment:
Expected behavior
The expected behaviour is getting a Lotus -1-2-3 spreadsheet displayed shortly after the splash screen.
Steps to reproduce the behaviour
Install Lotus 1-2-3 Release 3.4a Execute 123.EXE
Used configuration
Emulator log
No response
Additional context
As mentioned, various changes to dosbox-x.conf made no difference to the defaults; result was always the same hung screen and exact same debugger output.
