Can't do anything #3298

I open dosbox, and i'm reading the guide on how to use it. But there are no drop down menus at all, and i can only type Z, X, C and P 2022-02-24 08_13_19-DOSBox-X_ COMMAND .

None of the things at the bottom work when clicked on or anything either

You seem to be running in pc98 mode. Some more details as to what your doing could be helpful.

Are you running in fullscreen mode? Because then there is no menu bar.

I can't get it to go windowed. And i'm just clicking on the exe to open it. I've done nothing else.

well, at least we know one more tiny piece of information. Your running Windows.

Try to press F11-F to toggle between fullscreen and windowed mode. https://dosbox-x.com/wiki/Home#_dosbox_xs_special_keys

I can't. Type isn't supported.

Ok, I guess I'm done.

You don't supply any information as to your setup, leaving us almost completely in the dark. If you cannot even post your config file, then I have nothing else to add.

DOSBox-X does not start in PC-98 mode by default, nor does it automatically start in the upper left corner without menu bars. So you must have a custom config.
