Screen blank freeze at Bleem 1.4 demo #5020

Describe the bug

Following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Utuy4kleE7k to install windows 98se utilising the win98se oem image from Winworld

attaining the demo from e.g. https://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psx/bleem.html

when running Windows98se and copying over the file via creating iso file using imgburn, utilising DOS -> change current cd image

copy demo.exe file over to c:\temp\ shut down windows98se gracefully

open dosbox x using the win98.conf mount win98hd.img file and booting into c

here is the output from Dosbox-x

This doesn't occur on Oracle Virtualbox can get further in launching it

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

  1. Using Windows 98SE
  2. Copying over Bleem Demo
  3. Go to C:\temp\demo-v1_4.EXE
  4. open it
  5. screen blanks

Expected behavior

That the demo would launch in a windowed box

i've got further with this with performance hit if I utilise the following config :) it works but really slow

Hi,well I'm not an expert but this behavior with blank screen and or slow performance can happen because it needs a proper s3 vga driver and not the windows build-in one

Try this driver and let us know
