Apparently, excanvas doesn't work with a background image?

I've had a bug sitting in the Flot issue tracker for some time about it:

To quote:

"3. The solution: it's the background-image. Plotting in a div with
background image messes up excanvas in IE7. To check, just remove the
background."

I'm going to close the Flot bug, but thought it would be best to post it
here in case someone finds it helpful (or know what could have happened).
