"Follow me" feature #15

In the context of a performance, where one visitor is leading and expects the other visitors to follow him, we need to provide a way for the leading visitor to make him(her)self very visible : something like a red flag, or a compass, or something like this. To be defined...

How about a glow effect?

Can more than one player activate this at a time, or is there one leader at a time?

Another unobtrusive HUD option is the horizontal compass. It's a small bar at the top of the screen that just shows cardinal directions as you rotate around, a dot for different players, and other icon for the leader, teleport spot, or other waypoints.

I would say that yes, more than one player can activates at a time (this is the simplest approach), but this is to be discussed.

I like the Horizontal compass, this could take nearly all the bottom part of the screen, and we could mark the distance as well. This could be an instrument/tool of its own : we already have a kind of GPS tool that gives the XYZ position and the Space name we are in, and we could have this "Compass instrument" (remember Zelda 1 dungeons ?) that would give us direction and distance of visitors, objects, teleporters... And when a vistor activates its "Follow me" tool/instrument, he/she is highlighted on every visitor's compass.

I think we shoud do a very elementary implementation of this feature ?

yes I agree simpler the better, but glowing would work.

Ok I'll do something simple as a start, and we will see.
