Close the Launchpad bug tracker? #800

I know there's not much time or volunteers to work on this project, but can the Launchpad bug tracker be closed please, at least to accepting new bugs?

I wasted time filing a bug there and hoping it would be seen, only to realize later that development had moved to GitHub.
