The symbols subcommittee yesterday discussed and agreed on the following 
changes:

* Change subcategory names:

Identify the emoticons as such in the chart's category names
- Faces->Faces used as Emoticons
- More faces (...)->Cat Faces used as Emoticons + Gesture Symbols
- Miscellaneous Things->Miscellaneous Symbols
- Emotion Symbols->Comic-Style Symbols

* Change character names:
(Includes some [dis]unifications and code point changes.)

e-81D CD -> OPTICAL DISK

e-514 CROSSED JAPANESE FLAGS -> CROSSED FLAGS

e-4C7 MAP OF JAPAN -> SKETCH OF JAPAN

e-B13..e-B16 <color> HEART -> HEART-1..4

e-4FF..e-501 books -> BOOK-1..3
e-502 BOOK WITH VERTICAL FILL -> VERTICAL CLOSED BOOK

e-051, e-05B apples -> APPLE-1..2

e-B63 CHECKERED LARGE CIRCLE -> LARGE CIRCLE-1,
  move to SMP
e-B64 disunify from U+2B24 BLACK LARGE CIRCLE -> LARGE CIRCLE-2,
  move to SMP

e-B73 LARGE DIAMOND-1, move to SMP
e-B74 LARGE DIAMOND-2, move to SMP
e-B75 SMALL DIAMOND-1, move to SMP
e-B76 disunify U+2B29 BLACK SMALL DIAMOND -> SMALL DIAMOND-2,
  move to SMP

e-B78/9, e-B01/0 triangles: remove CHECKERED, add -1..2, move to SMP

e-812 JOKER CARD -> JOKER

e-811 JAPANESE FLOWER PLAYING CARDS -> FLOWER PLAYING CARDS

e-1B2 DEVIL -> IMP

Unify e-4BB (chapel) with U+26EA CHURCH = ARIB-9114

e-983 BEER -> BEER MUG

* Fast forward/fast rewind:

Move 4 symbols e-AFE/AFF/B03/B02 to technical symbols at U+23xx

Move the clock faces out of U+23xx to the SMP, leave the alarm clock there

Move three symbols e-B09..e-B0B (question/exclamation marks) to SMP; leave 
e-B4A, e-B93, e-B95 in Dingbats block as proposed

Move e-037 out of U+2Bxx because it's not really an extension of the U+26xx 
block (unlike previous advice); move to SMP

* Flags:

e-4E5..e-4EE
Change names to "EMOJI SYMBOL FR" etc.
Order flags by character name

* Include logos as EMOJI COMPATIBILITY SYMBOL-68 [1..68] in a separate 
block at U+xxxxx (next clean block on plane 1). Do not include Google-
created symbols.

r143: name and unification changes
r144: code point changes
r145: flags
r146: include logos & trademarked symbols
