Add NamesList.txt to the source repository #155

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

The new gen_all.sh generates NamesList.txt but this new data file is not
checked into the repository yet. This bug is for adding the file.

I didn't intend to check NamesList.txt into svn, nor emoji_sources.txt or the
upcoming file with the chart font mapping. Do we need any of these in svn? Note
that
we never checked in the HTML files, and I don't want to.

We only have the font files in svn to make it easier for Peter Lofting to see
font-
related changes. Since he is using different glyph IDs, I am not even sure he
still
looks at the ones we check in.

Thanks for your reply. I had thought that someone wants to have see this file
without
checking out the source -- just by browsing through our source files. If so,
keeping
updated files there might be helpful. Alternatively we can refer all inquiries
of
this type to the Unicode site.

I think the files should be kept updated and if we can refer people to the
generated
directory, you would not have to maintain the Unicode site file.

With so many glyph edits I've not been looking at these files and right now the
font is not in sync them; but I will
use these files to re-sync the names etc. after this week, so they are going to
be the source for the finished font.
Therefore please keep them updated.

r162:
- Added NamesList.txt to the repository
- Reduced the end of the compatibility symbols block to U+1F64F
- Fixed casing of two headings:
Other Symbols with Letters and Digits -> Other symbols with letters and digits
  UI Symbols -> UI symbols
