If you're interested, 👍 this and post other ideas below!

I'm trying to gauge interest for a paid version of this app, which would be far more powerful, adding:

I see myself paying for such an application to enable collaborative working with my friends on our no-budget project. For an affordable price tag, say below 20€, and a fair licensing system, say server owner only pays, this is something I would buy from the little funds I have to support you. If it was too expensive to get working, especially with friends that just want to get their feet wet and can't pay for a client license just to try it out, I'd stick with the latest free version.

some other payware features could be encryption/local caching that could handle server disconnects and or edit Versions... personally if this could work in Unraid/docker with a gui I would be pay a decent amount for it. lots of people on the Blackmagic forums use unraid but mostly I think just as just a NAS solution.

I think a good way to monetize is just scale it based on users. have a free/low cost plan for 1-4 users with all the same features and then have a higher tier that's payed unlimited users ecs.

emm,我想确认的一点是,当我的database体积很大时候,能否保证我们多用户的协作速度,还有例如我们的项目中的素材都是raw clip时,我们能否实时预览。如果他能保证远端的协作和预览速度,我会很愿意付费

Definitely would be interested in a paid version

I finally got this working on my M1 Mac Mini and I love it! Would like to see if there is a way to update Database password in the future. Sharing multiple database servers sounds amazing as well!

It could be a beautifull idea to have a premium version also for linux, and it would be beautiful to have a simili github-desktop workaround.. what i mean is: Both Colorist and Editor select a path where local files are. They both work. At the end of the day, both of them "push" the edits, so both of them can see the edits of the other, withour to download and upload all the media everytime.
