Our insurers require that volunteers tick a box to say they have read and understood the H&S instructions for each survey. We need to be able to identify who has and who hasn’t ticked this box. On the current site volunteers are required to tick this box before they download the survey resources pack. As this forces volunteers to tick the box (unless they feel they don’t need to download the resource pack, possibly because they are so familiar with the methodology) it is probably best to retain this approach but link the tick box to the volunteer record. We need to log that this box has been ticked for each survey on an annual basis so that we can easily see which volunteers haven't yet ticked the box for each survey they take part in in the current year.
