Villages and Ocean Monuments do not spawn #135

Closed jakemismas closed 3 years ago

jakemismas commented 3 years ago

Describe the bug As of plugin version, 8.1.39 villages and ocean monuments no longer spawn.

To Reproduce

  1. Install EWG onto a paper server
  2. Pregenerate the world using Chunky
  3. Try to use /locate (which also doesn't work)
  4. use Dynmap to render the map No villages or ocean monuments spawn.

Expected behavior Villages and ocean monuments spawn, as they did a few versions ago.

Spigot version (please complete the following information): Version Paper 1.16.3

After solving the village problem. 8.1.41 / paper 1.16.3 / 1.16.4 Neither was generated.

In 8.1.41, I feel that the pyramid has not been generated either. I feel like I haven't generated all of the customStructures.

The same question was asked on Discord, but they said it was okay.

Since villages will be generated in all biomes in 8.1.37, save the world and check the seed value.

By generating a world with the same seed value above 8.1.39, returning to 8.1.37, and regenerating chunks against the village field, I think it is possible to generate a village only in a specific place. ..

However, it is very troublesome and the larger the world, the longer it takes to generate.

It's safe to wait for a fix, but aren't there too many structure generation bugs? Are you debugging?

sorry. It was the opposite. Pre-generate the world in 8.1.37. You can add 8.1.41 to the server or overwrite the installed server world and regenerate the chunks to cleanly erase the village.

I think this is a good way to erase the villages that are created in unnatural places.

I'm really successful with this.

I think it's easier to delete what is being generated than to find out exactly where the village is being generated.

The terrain itself is generated without any deviation, but it seems that trees are not generated at exactly the same position, so be careful. 2020-11-18_12 31 31 2020-11-18_12 37 14

2020-11-18_12 31 31 2020-11-18_12 37 14

Note Be careful when working from 1.16.3 to 1.16.4. I couldn't take over the world by downgrading. It's like a one-way upgrade. Be sure to make a backup before loading the world generated in 1.16.3 in 1.16.4. In rare cases, chunk generation will generate empty chunks. In that case, no matter how many times I tried and deleted the file, only empty chunks were generated. This cannot be fixed without a 1.16.3 backup. I expect that it can be solved by regenerating the world in 1.16.3 and preparing the file or copying the chunk and pasting it in 1.16.4. The 1.16.4 environment alone could not repair empty chunks.

Villages seem to spawn since 8.1.43 with their usual oddities. Ocean monuments and other structures are yet to be seen.
