Sending Iplayer Videos using PlayIt extension for chrome

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make sure PlayIt addon is installed (http://goo.gl/lLCeWZ)
2. Right-click any iplayer video in google chrome browser. Select Playit on 
xbmc.
3. Playback starts but Android/PC remote-controls as well as web-interface get 
disconnected.
4. Device requires reboot

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected Output: Remote controls should be active while Video plays.
Actual Output: Video plays but remote controls & web-interface gets disabled.

plugin version:  2.4.18. OS: Openelec on Raspberry Pi

is this still an issue. I can't see how it would be related to the plugin. the 
plugin does not control web interface/remote controls. sounds like xbmc issue. 
Marking as invalid for now

I am also having this same problem. Checked to see if YouTube add on had the 
same issues which would indicate it as a XBMC problem, however, remote works 
fine with YouTube.

someone else reported it so opening again. Am I to understand you are 
specifically talking about this playit service its web controls - rather than a 
normal remote control ? we do not use resolveurl function so we may not be 
compatible with this currently. My solution would be not to use this and to use 
the plugin normally.,

Not specifically talking about the PlayIt extension. I cannot get either an
ordinary remote or the XBMC Remote app to work with the iPlayer plugin.

Works fine here (yatse remote on pi). It's also not something that is within 
the plugin's control btw. The plugin tells xbmc to play a file/stream and xbmc 
handles it - the plugin does not do anything regarding the input controls etc. 
However, please post a debug log, and I will see if it shows up anything.

Was getting the streaming issue on my nexus7 so changed to play and it worked. 
Wasn't getting the streaming issue on RPI but it also solved the remote 
problem, no idea why.
