Joomla Accessibility Team meeting

Agenda

  1. Team management a) Team structure b) The team management composition c) Team management meetings d) Work rules e) official communication/work channels
  2. Overview of the work state - started and unfinished topics

Team structure

In September, we presented a team structure proposal, according to which Joomla Accessibility Team consists of three components:

  1. Advisory Subteam
  2. Audit & Testing Subteam
  3. Implementation Subteam.

We decided to add also

  1. Accessibility Promotion Subteam

The point is not to create new beings, but to provide everyone with a clear opportunity to determine their place in the team and to ensure the efficiency of managing the entire team.

The team will have a structure when

Subteam coordinator duties:

Idea:

Team hierarchy

team leader, team leader assistant, subteam leaders (coordinators).

Meetings

Idea:

There must be a fixed date for team and subteams meetings. The date should not be changed (changes disorganize work). The team leadership should meet: at least once a month at "official" meetings, summarizing the work in the previous month (report of subteams on achievements) and defining the work plan (tasks) for the next month; these meetings should be reported on joomla.org once a week or once two-weeks at "working" meetings, to consider and decide on current issues (discussing development directions, planning specific tasks, summarizing them).

Idea:

"Working" meetings will take place every week at Thursday at 4:30 pm UTC+1 "Official" meetings will always take place in the first Thursday of the month at 4:30 pm UTC+1

The subteams should meet: *once a week or once two-weeks at "working" meetings, to consider and decide on current issues (discussing development directions, planning specific tasks, summarizing them).
