You take a video or a photo with your phone.

Assuming the video or photo contains visually nothing sensitive, do you think it's safe to post the photo or video somewhere?

You may not know it can contain really sensitive data like the exact location of your home.

Use exiftool to examine metadata.

Some services like Twitter automatically strip your metadata to protect you, but which services do that to protect you - do you know?

This removes metadata from a JPEG file:

$ exiftool -all= picture.jpg
