joplin / plugin-email

This plugin adds the ability to fetch email messages and converts them to Joplin notes in various formats, either by monitoring any new or unread messages from a specific email address or a specific mailbox, or by uploading downloaded email messages to the plugin without having to be logged in.

Manual login requiring an @ in the login name #22

My e-mail login with my provider is not the same as the e-mail address and does not contain an @ in so I am unable to use this to log in. Is it possible to remove the requirement for an @ in the login username for providers that issue a separate login rather than using an e-mail address?

I have the same issue. Provider is 1blu.de

It's uncommon for me to see an email address without an @ sign. Then what will you enter in the email field, username or mailbox, as mentioned in the 1blu.de IMAP config? Anyway, I will remove the email checker from the email input field in the next version.

It isn't an E-Mail address. There is a seperae login username, that is not represented by the corresponding e-mail-address. So thanks for removing the "@"-sign checker

same issue here as well, I am selfhosting my email server on a Synology NAS, also here the username to login into imap is not the email address, but rather the name of the user on the NAS.

Same issue here, running Postfix on one of my servers. The field being labelled 'Email Address' should really be labelled 'Login Username', and shouldn't require an @.
