joplin / plugin-email

This plugin adds the ability to fetch email messages and converts them to Joplin notes in various formats, either by monitoring any new or unread messages from a specific email address or a specific mailbox, or by uploading downloaded email messages to the plugin without having to be logged in.

I quite like having the plugin to document mails occasionally. However, I constantly have an activity display that is always visible and gets on my nerves when I'm concentrating on my work. Please leave it out, no one who is already an adult probably needs it ;-) But a status string would be nice.

Hi, krueuw What exactly is "activity display"? Do you mean the alert displayed when the internet goes down? More clarification, please.

Hi, Bishoy, I run Joplin 2.8.8 (prod, linux) Client ID: xxxxx Sync version: 3 Profile version: 41 Supported keychain: No Revision: c2a6a13 with the email plugin 1.0.0 on Ubuntu 22.04 and am pleased to say that it works. There are two annoying things that come together:

I don't know how to explain this further. I am including a link to a screenshot showing the undesirable behaviour. This contains three characters A too much, please remove them accordingly. https://ufo-AAAsrv.boerde.de/owncloud/index.php/s/0ku7dE4XNii8xd3

The plugin window cannot be completely hidden after configuration and takes up unnecessary work space,

If you want to completely hide the email plugin screen, you can click the close button inside the plugin screen, click the email plugin icon in the top note title, or go to Tools -> Email Plugin.

A circle is constantly spinning, which is apparently meant to indicate the activity of the plugin. So it is constantly visible and distracts me from my work.

A spinning circle is an indication that the plugin is trying to make an imap connection to your email provider, so if it can't connect or throws an error, make sure that your email provider allows your apps to make an imap connection and that the imap configuration is valid.

This link isn't working for me. You can upload this screenshot as a comment here.
