Are the images produced by the crop "known" to WordPress?

I am asking to see if there is any way a Plugin like ShortPixel could work for them to optimize the load and size of the images by local optimization?

Hey,

Cropped images created by this plugin are normal WordPress attachments. This means they should be processed by any image optimization plugins. If you want to see the attachment files in the WordPress media gallery, select the "list view" rather than the "grid view". I'm not sure how ShortPixel works but it will probably have some sort of UI element on each image that tells if the image has been optimized or not.
