Although this is a very interesting proposal, I am thinking that it might be out of the scope of the project. Truth be told even it’s actual state is more complex that what I initially planned.
Merging uplink and downlink monitors specifically though is something I am considering. But arbitrary monitors I don’t think I want to do it. At least not nowadays.
Similar to how CPU per core shows a bunch of overlaid graphs, there could be an option to show arbitrary graphs overlaid in the same manner but with different colors unlike the CPU per core graph. For example a user could overlay the network uplink and downlink graphs to save screen space. Both the labels and their values could both be shown side by side.
