It would be awesome if we could change where new icons come up.

Or for my use case, an option to disable the 'always hidden' section completely?

Chamiu commented 1 month ago

This issue is thought to be due to the idea of implicit implementation, even though whether or not to include it in "Always Hidden" is more diverse for the user. After all, in ver.0.9.0, it is also obvious from the behavior of maintaining the treatment of "Always Hidden" even though it was removed from "Always Hidden" in the GUI.

Therefore, I would like to recommend that the classification of menubar items be changed to the idea of listing menubar items in the preferences window and having users set them.

Implicit type conversion is worse than explicit type conversion.

If possible or as a workaround it would be better (and with lower implications) to place new icons generally to the "Visible" section.

I don't understand why I deleted the "menu bar item" function in the settings in Readme.md.

If I've already taken measures, I want to try it. closed beta ?

@Chamiu @jostrasser By default, macOS places new items into the always-hidden section because it is at the end of the menu bar. Ice only recently gained the ability to move individual items, so I'm just now able to implement this feature. It should be coming soon. Possibly the next update, but it could be later down the road if I run into problems with it.

@Chamiu The beta is available in the comment section of #1. You'll have to scroll down near the bottom. It's in one of my recent comments. Be prepared for a lot of bugs if you use it, though.

For ver.0.10.0b4, it seems that I really want to put 1Password in the Always-Hidden Section.
