What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. The install program does not ask where I wish to install the program.
2. My C drive is small and cannot accommodate Google Earth.
3. My D drive has ample capacity.
What is the expected output or behavior? What do you see instead?
The install program asks where to install.
Which plugin version are you using?
The current one available as of 4 June 2012
Which browsers and operating systems are affected?
Windows XP 32-bit with service Pack 3.
Please provide any additional information (code snippets/links) below.
I have checked the forums, and there are no reports on how to correct the issue
aside from going into the registry and redefining the default program
directory. That workaround is dangerous for the casual operator, and is totally
unacceptable. Many many others have this annoying issue. Please help. Thanks.
