Hello,

The same for me : Ubuntu 12.10 (64bits) and google earth 7
(google-earth-stable_current_amd64.deb), spashscreen and then crash...

We apologize for the inconvenience, but Google Earth has crashed.
This is a bug in the program, and should never happen under normal
circumstances. A bug report and debugging data have been written
 to this text file:

Also affected. Apparently there is a conflict with libraries.

However, the stacktrace from glibc is not helpful because it does not show what
library has the problem.

Same thing with 12.04, very frustrating. Moreover alternate installation using
the Google Pro links doesn't work either:
Uncompressing Google Earth for GNU/Linux
6.0.3.2197......................................................................
.......................
setup.data/setup.xml:1: parser error : Document is empty

^
setup.data/setup.xml:1: parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found

^
Couldn't load 'setup.data/setup.xml'

Attached the file generated when trying to install using the normal link.

Seeing the exact same problem with Google Earth 7 (32-bit) on Linux Mint 14
(32bit) but not with Google Earth 7 (64-bit) on Linux Mint 14 (64-bit).

Google Earth had to be installed again. It worked one time and does not run any
more. No error messages, just nothing.
