Balloon rendering issues with new plugin 7.1.1.1580 #930

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Go to Google Earth Demo site 
http://earth-api-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/examples/balloon-feature.html

2. Click the placemark

What is the expected output or behavior? What do you see instead?
The placemark balloon is expected to look like the Google Earth desktop 
balloon. For example, please notice the missing "x" close icon and difference 
in margins/padding of the balloon. 

Which plugin version are you using?
7.1.1.1580

browsers:
Chrome; IE; FF

operating systems:
Windows 7

Please see images that compare plugin version 6.01 with 7.1.1

I am having the same issue with balloons not having a close button available.

I am also facing the same problem on Mac and window. Following is the plugin 
version information.

Plugin Version: 7.1.1.1871 on Mac, 7.1.1.1888 on Window 7

Note: It was working fine on Mac and window when plugin version was 7.0.
