Which products are relevant to this feature request?
In older versions of Google Earth, the timespan feature would allow a
smooth loop from the end back to teh beginning but now there is a gap which
causes a flicker. This is clearly a bug as there is no way to fill this gap
and if the user wanted such a gap they could leave that time slot empty.
What should this feature enhancement do?
Revert back to Google Earth 4.x behaviour in that there should be no gap
when looping the time.
Are there any currently known workarounds that produce the same, or
similar, result?
No. Roman N has tried to argue that the new Tour element can achieve the
same thing but for my application but it cannot and when asked to explain
he went silent.
My turbine animation still works but looks clunky now. It makes both Google
and me look bad and there is no reason for it and no alternative method or
workaround. Tour controls the user's view point and I need the user to be
free to explore the animation from whatever viewpoint they choose.
Also, it would be good if we were emailed whenever an issue that we have
posted to gets updated. I always find it hard to find my way back to the
threads I am interested in.
Cheers,
Nick
