It would be great if it supported virtual rasters created in recent QGIS versions using the raster calculator option to "create on-the-fly raster instead of writing layer to disk".
(For some reason I thought when I initially tried using on-the-fly rasters it did support them, but it doesn't seem to now, so I guess I was mistaken).
