Unable to align timestamps #44

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Set Raspi time correctly (+10hrs for Melbounre Australia)
2.Set SETUP>SYSTEM SETTINGS time to 11 in order to have correct time on web
interface
3.Set PVOutput time to anything ... makes no difference

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to have PVOutput timestamp align with Raspi web interface but when local
page is correctly showing time as eg. 10:00 the PVoutput time is showing as
21:00 (ie 11hrs in the future). Changing the time settings on PVOutput appears
to make no difference. Adjusting time in Measureit interface will correct the
time on PVOutput but the local pages are then hours BEHIND.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version from Raspberry Pi image.

Please provide any additional information below.
Why does measureit need to do anything with the time at all ... why not just
take the time supplied from the EnviR output data as everybody will have that
set approriately...I dont think anyone will have their EnviR in a different
time zone!

OK ...for anybody else coming across the same issue I found the fix listed by
the good people in the forum pages ... see this link

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/measureit/9g0LL7GBJ7c

Hopefully this will be addressed in a future release as it lost 1.5 days for me
...but apart from that the software that Thomas has given us is brilliant ...
THANKS Thomas :)

No problem. What are 1.5 days if you can grill, drink beer and do a lot of
other useful stuff....

:D
