What version of Fish are you using? Does this happen when you try to install other plugins too or just Tide?
Could you copy and paste your config.fish
here? Maybe the problem is there.

I'll take a look at other plugins while you look at my config
Can you answers the other questions?
Please comment out your config.fish and try again. Does that solve your problem?
Also, you seem to be using Starship? You can't use two prompts.
fish, version 3.2.1
and fisher plugins I currently have jorgebucaran/nvm.fish@2.1.0 jorgebucaran/fisher ilancosman/tide
After commenting out the entire config, it still crashes. Only different I do notice when I start up a new terminal, I get the pretty font icons immediately
If the problem only happens with Tide, maybe this is not a Fisher issue.
Did you open an issue there yet?
Could you upgrade to the latest Fish and try again?
So I cleaned up the config and updated fish. Taking care of both fixed my problem. :)
I think the problem was a combination of both because I tested them separately. Much appreciated!
This prompt happens to all of my laptop/desktop computers inside of Garuda Linux fish shell terminal.
