Hi, sorry to bother you. Thank you for the script, seems like it could solve my problem, but I'm a zabbix newbie and I can't just figure this out - how to use it? :[

I've added "discovery rule" with the external check (I got the script working from cli), now I'm trying to do it via web. (I don't know where to insert "{#TSICSNMPFULLOID}" macro into Item prototype)

Could you please create a few screenshot guide?

Hi,

sorry for delay, I ralely visit this github site and I did not get any notification email. Here is a simple screenshot how it place macros in item prototypes. But in 8 months I hope you have figured that one out already.

Which version of Zabbix do you mean? SNMP low level discovery has been in Zabbix for a while but by looking 2.2 and 2.4 manual I still see the 'basic' SNMP discovery.

TSICSNMP enhances it by allowing splitting of std macro {#SNMPINDEX} user defined parts by using Zabbix feature described "3.5 Creating custom LLD rules". So in essence it is SNMP to "custom LLD rules" converter/bridge. TSICSNMP can for example capture IP-address which item prototype can easily refer or ascii text if SNMP index contains ascii text. It can be used to have more meaningfull item, trigger and graph names.
