USB Tether greyed out #45

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Samsung Galaxy S I9000

Which firmware is installed?
2.3.3 XWJVH

What version of wireless tether are you using?
Wired USB tethering (intrinsic)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Upgraded phone to 2.3.3
2. Rooted phone to install Titanium backup
3. Connect USB cable - Samsung Kies MTP app pops up
4. Press home key to return to main menuSettings/Wireless and Network/Tethering

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
1. Exoect to see that USB tethering highlighted with tick-box
2. But USB tethering is greyed out (inaccessible)

Please provide any additional information below.
Worked OK on 2.2 froyo

Same with 2.3.4 JVQ.
Using mass storage option will highlight USB tethering,
but using tethering this way will disconnect after 2-3 mins.
So USB thethering is unusable.
Serious bug, please fix it.
