Help: what behaviour is expected when testing LEDs? #101

Kind of issue? Assembly / HELP!

Which Board? RGB

Which Board Revision? RGB = 2.1

What steps have you taken

What is the issue? I'm having issues getting any of the per-key LEDs to work (I've only done per-key ones for now).

My question: when testing the LEDs as you solder, what behaviour should they exhibit?

I've started from LED 8 and tested each one as I go using a bench power supply (set to 5v) across ground and VCC. Each LED shines green when it is soldered. In the chain, only the last LED lights up (green) and previous LEDs, when individually powered no longer light up. Is this what is expected?

What you expected:

Extra notes / questions I've made one side so far and wanted to test it on its own to see if I'd soldered everything correctly. I'm not sure if this is possible by default (or at all), or if I'd need to modify the keymap to do so.

The OLED screen and the keys all work, just the LEDs I'm struggling with.

This question is my first step to making sure I'm doing this correctly. Any other advice is also appreciated if applicable. Thanks.

I decided to try and solder everything and replace LEDs that didn't light up individually (about 50% of them). Unfortunately I've resoldered stuff so many times I've started to expose PCB copper. I think I'm just going to use it as a non-RGB Sofle. My keycaps aren't shinethrough anyway.
