Core files and simple start-up steps for 3.20? #254

I downloaded the current version of Monocle with the idea I could set up a basic ebook test fairly simply. I uploaded all of the files to my site and created a test page that successfully displayed "Hello, world." However, I can't find directions to replace "Hello, world" with an ebook file.

I've seen numerous scripts for my index file but can't find instructions for how to replace the text in the body (e.g., "test" in Aaron's sample) with a book data object so the scripts will actually produce content in the frame. Am I missing something obvious, or can someone point me to a page with instructions on how to complete the entire index file rather than just the script?

The problem may also be the version I downloaded since the tests don't work either.

I've tried the tests in the Monocle folders, but the Dickens book doesn't display images or text or any page advancing controls. In the controls folder, the options all are blank/no images. I have tested in FF, IE and Chrome. Has anyone else had problems getting 3.20 to work, or am I missing something obvious?

Thanks for any help or step-by-steps or sample index files you can provide. I'd like to display a 3-page pdf if anyone has an index file with pdf files included.
