The Guidelines for Table of Contents/Abstract Graphics
(https://pubs.acs.org/paragonplus/submission/toc_abstract_graphics_guidelines.pdf) states:
"Submit the graphic at the actual size to be used for the TOC so that it will fit in an area no larger than 3.25 inches by 1.75 inches (approx. 8.25 cm by 4.45 cm)."
I believe it is valid for all ACS journals but I only checked for a few of them.
However, achemso.cls contains the following lengths:
\setlength{\acs@tocentry@height}{9 cm}
\setlength{\acs@tocentry@width}{3.5 cm}
I do not understand where these lengths were taken from (and I agree with issue #30 that the height and length are reversed).
