I noticed a new behavior with the latest biblatex-ieee update in TeX Live (biblatex-ieee 1.1n).
It used to be that journal and conference names (and maybe others) were just capped AS IS from the bib file. Effectively matching the behavior of the bibtex style files.
With the new behavior, in english only it seems, only the first letter and protected caps with braces appear as caps. As far as I am concerned, this is an unwelcome change as I'd rather have it match what the official IEEE template does.
While it may be a matter of taste, it also looks weird to me to have e.g. "IEEE j. sel. areas commun." instead of "IEEE J. Sel. Areas Commun.".
