As described in #737.

Not sure if using \bar as deprecated unit is the best choice… but actually it's probably the easiest because of the different meaning outside the unit commands.

Can you add a ChangeLog entry?

Hope I understood the structure correctly. And tried to do so.

Just realized the siunitx-emulation check is no longer passing. I'd have a look at that, but probably you might be faster with that.
