Hi, thanks for the feature request! Unfortunately, none of this is possible without more APIs from Firefox itself.
You can, however, pin the Tab Stash tab, and Tab Stash will note the fact that it's pinned and keep itself open. The extension URL you mentioned should remain stable so long as you don't reinstall Tab Stash. Hope this helps!
Thanks. I'll stick with pinned tab for now, hopefully Firefox will extend its API some day.
Thank you for reporting @Lgmrszd I am not surprised that it's not possible without upstream cooperation, but very much agree that Firefox View would be the place to keep the stash.
Just a detail but since this is an issue tracker, this ticket should be titled as such (rather than as a task). I suggest renaming simply:
No Firefox View integration
Problem Statement
Firefox View is a built-in feature that provides go-to place to quickly view opened tabs, recently closed tabs, browsing history and tabs from other devices. It's pretty useful for getting a quick look at your opened tabs but it doesn't display Tab Stash groups, so if you use both, you'll have to switch between Firefox View menu and Tab Stash sidebar/tab.
Preferred Solution(s)
Tab Stash could be integrated within Firefox View, like a separate option (see edited screenshot below). Unfortunately I don't know if it's actually possible for add-ons to modify/extend Firefox View.
Alternative Solution(s)
I can think of several ones: Not implemented:
about:firefoxview-next
but not in a separate tab, instead, the button acts as a pinned tab. You'd still have two menus/tabs to toggle between but they would be easier to switch between.Currently doable:
moz-extension://<addon-hash>/stash-list.html
) which I suspect can change. Here's screenshots showing combination of both, first one shows how opened Firefox View shows up like, second one shows what happens when you click Tab Stash button: it opens and highlights pinned tab instead.
