Hey @kiettt200, I noticed you forked this. I let it die way back in 2015 when I moved overseas and gave away the hardware that previously ran my plex server. Feel free to take it and do what you want with it. It's MIT licensed, so go crazy :)

This was a rewrite of https://github.com/joshka/SoundCloud.bundle (which has some extra stuff done in later branches by others - check the network tab)

Hey @joshka Thanks for the info! Was there anything wrong with it back when it died? This is gonna be my first attempt at a plex channel thing, so it's a bit overwhelming.

There were a few pieces that people had complained about in the forums, but I never got to adding the necessary logging to find out more info and stopped following it when I moved. Your biggest problem is probably going to be change in the Soundcloud and Plex APIs. 2 years is a long time and there's probably a bunch of changes. The Soundcloud changes are likely in the developers blog (https://developers.soundcloud.com/blog). The Plex changes are probably in the forums. You've alos got a bunch of other channels to model your changes from. The exact details were hard to find 2 years back, but maybe it's better documented these days?

Hi @kiettt200 (and @joshka ), any updates/progress on this in the meantime? I am interested in chipping in. The code looks simple enough to contribute

Hi @vhaasteren, unfortunately, I've been super busy and this wasn't high priority or anything to me, only a side thing so no progress has actually been made. I haven't done anything with the plex channel thing before so I never actually got around to reading up on it. Feel free to take the wheel if you have experience with plex channels and I can help you out if necessary.

I see. I have no Plex channel experience -- I started using plex a few weeks ago! But I do have a lot of python experience, so I'll have a peek and see how things work.

Any updates here? I just installed Plex and wanted to pursue this. Anyone have links or references to the the API's required ?

For me I decided that it wasn't worth looking into. The newer plex versions don't support plugins anymore, so unless you run an old version it's pointless
