Preparation

Clear, well-written resume
Use AI tools to screen your own resume: TealHQ, Resume Worded

Discovery

Find and join community groups of engineers - Slack, Mastodon, etc
Job Boards: Built In, LinkedIn, Wellfound, Y Combinator, We Work Remotely, RubyOnRemote, local job boards and tech incubators

Applying

Your resume should match the keywords from the job listing (Use AI tools)
Cover letter should address what company is looking for. Start with top bullet points as most important and work down to least

Interviewing

Make sure you have a basic understanding of the product and market it resides in
Come prepared with questions to ask the employer - Reverse top-grading

Assessment

Negotiating
