The US is an interesting case study because each state has the soverignty to act in it's own best interests during national emergencies. Some states have formed coalitions California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Colorado while others are relaxing their Shelter In Place (SIP) guidelines.
The state governors coordinate the pandemic response and ultimately decide when to relax SIP. With this data included we can investigate if political leaning is effecting how individual states are responding.
