I am curious as to whether you forked (or know of a fork) of the mobile apps before their source was closed?

Unfortunately I don't know of anyone who did - the mobile apps being taken down was the first really shady thing the Emby Lead Dev did, so most of us had no idea what was coming.

I think a better goal is to keep this project compatible with the official apps for as long as possible, and work on our own.

I have a fork of a fork in my repos... But I was not able to compile it in an hour I spent there :) Have a look if you wish.
