Year-long modules are counted by the semester in which they begin. Therefore you get e.g. 8 MC in sem 1 for a year-long module starting in sem 1, and not 4 MC in sem 1 and 4 MC in sem 2. Doing otherwise would be double-counting. This is the default behaviour in other module organisers / managers.
