Evolver avatar file imports don't work in recent trunk #158

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch a recent trunk (29 Jan 2011) and drag and drop an evolver avatar file
.evm)
Optionally you can test this in owf1.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The file should upload and, after a while, the new avatar should load.
Instead this is the exception generated:
WARNING: Error importing /Users/jos/Desktop/black_jeans.evm
java.lang.AbstractMethodError:
org.jdesktop.wonderland.modules.evolvermulti.client.jme.importer.MultimeshEvolve
rContentImporter.importFile(Ljava/io/File;Ljava/lang/String;Z)Ljava/lang/String;
at
org.jdesktop.wonderland.client.jme.dnd.FileListDataFlavorHandler$1.run(FileListD
ataFlavorHandler.java:165)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Tested on mac and both the community servers

Please provide any additional information below.
a fresh trunk or owf1 do not work (throws the exception above) but owf2 works
fine, so the bug was introduced in the last couple of weeks.

There was an API change a few weeks back to support drag and drop. The
multimesh module was updated, but I think the versions on the community server
are out of date. Can you retest with the latest version of the multimesh module
and confirm it fixes the issue?

Jus tested this locally and you are right. It was just a matter or deploying
the module again to get it working.

This can be closed!

Cheers,
José

Closed per submitter. It was a versioning problem.
