the audio samples are played all in a row at the start of the game, the sprite of the main character freezes

Although this rings a bell, I think you must have tested an older version. Please use today's version jts16b_20220709 and jts16_20220709. I have not been able to reproduce any of these two problems in any of the seven Alien Syndrome variations.
