Description of problem: I have a local photo library and would like the pictures backed up by Jotta on my phone synced to my local computer. Currently, they are "locked" in Jotta.

I could run jotta-cli download "Photos" ., but that is 20 GB+ of photos and videos to download. And there's no "do not override", which means I'll have download it all again every time.
Not a blocker issue, but the photos are downloaded to various location location sub directories. (I'm not sure where photos without location appears.)

Expected:

Ability to tell jotta-cli to download even if target exists, but not override, as a command line option.
Access to a folder structure that for example matches the web interface "Photo Timeline Uploads" (jotta-cli download "Photos/Timeline/2020/Nov/* ." or something like that.
Backup solution for previous bullet would be access to all photos in one jotta-cli download "Photos/All .", but that is not ideal from a resource perspective.

(Or maybe this is already possible via a workaround exists that I'm not aware of?)

Hi mabahj, thanks for the feature request!

We agree it would be nice to download only new files and access the timeline from the cli - we're discussing it internally.

Hi,

We have added a new feature to unstable: download --merge, which checks the local target and only downloads new files. Feel free to check it out - feedback is appreciated! It will be included in the next stable release.

Hi! Sorry about the very late reply. I had some issues at first, with some strange download errors, but I think they are resolved now. The feature works here, thank you!

( It consumes quite a lot of CPU, actually so much that it is slower than just re-downloading. My CPU is however very slow and my bandwidth is very fast, so it is probably expected.)
