Keeping shell #1

Using urxvtd seemed to give me sh instead of my default shell.

By the default shell, you mean the one configured in /etc/passwd? Do you overwrite the SHELL variable somewhere? Candidates are ~/.profile and ~/.bash_profile.

Yes, I mean that one. I don't have a .profile, and my .bash_profile didn't contain anything of note.

Well, something must be setting it somewhere ;-).
