What are the steps to trigger the problem?
1)Avatar url starts with "/http://..."

What happened?
Avatar error, fail to display

What did you expect to happen?
remove the "/"
changes "/http://" into "http://"

Have you defined IMAGE_PROXY_URL in config.php with an actual proxy, leaving it 
blank results in this kind of error? See Issue 368.

still faulty.
