ipoddisk won't unmount with Leopard #16

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. plug an ipod and run ipoddisk
2. No ipoddisk volume icon appear on desktop therefore cannot unmount the
volume

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

An ipoddisk volume icon should have appeared on deskstop allowing
unmounting the ipoddisk volume.

Now the only way to unmount the ipoddisk volume is to logoff the session
and re-logon.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

ipoddisk 2.0b1 and Mac OS X 10.5 on Intel

Ignore this bug report. I updated to OS X 10.5.1 today and the above mentioned
problem is resolved.

I've discovered iPodDisk recently and I was testing it when I experienced the
same problem on an Intel
MacBok (Aluminium). And I found an easy way to unmount the iPod after running
iPodDisk.

It seems you can't unmount the iPod since iPodDisk is still using it's
harddrive, and in fact if you type in a
terminal the command "df -h" you'll see that there is a volume called iPodDisk
mounted but it does not
appear on the desktop.

So, I could unmount iPodDisk from a terminal just typing: "umount iPodDisk".
After that you can unmount the iPod as usual with the iPod icon on the desktop,
and there's no need to logoff.
