We see why this can be a problem. However, for formal usage, users will not willingly enter names with numbers if there is no reason to, albeit there exists cases where numbers are included like royalties.
Even if they do accidentally input, they can easily change it with the Edit
command.
Also overzealous input validation may also lead to user frustration if they do actually need to attach numbers behind certain names.

Reason for disagreement: Thank you for your response. However, given the context of the system’s use, I believe stricter validation on names is necessary.
As a therapist, you hold a formal and professional medical position, and the names inputted into the system should adhere to a standardized format, such as the NRIC format . This is crucial for ensuring that the data is aligned with official records and regulatory requirements.
Additionally, like many medical professionals, patient data often needs to be linked with government sectors or third-party agencies, many of which require compliance with the NRIC format. Allowing numbers in names could therefore create inconsistencies when sharing or integrating data with these external systems.
Hence, it is more logical and reasonable for names to exclude numbers, as this aligns with best practices for medical record-keeping and ensures that the system remains compatible with external systems and official requirements.
Especially for formal usage, name should not include numbers as they follow NRIC format.
