As title says. Some features that I want to see in the extension version by you ☺

The most important: – Firefox version (Gecko, Servo and WebExtensions API [all three of them] compatible)

Important, but not less nor most: – Blacklisting sites (domain like twitter.com, websites like www.twitter.com and webpages like www.twitter.com/Piter432YT/status/3523598 [the link is fake, just to show, what I mean ])

Less important: More emojis' styles like: Twitter, Google/Android, Apple, Windows 10. And more if there's any and ofc. EmojiOne style selected by default ☺ – Emojis' description/name after replacing (aka alternative image text, if you didn't understand me )

Ah, and ofc. your extension is already rated by me on Chrome Web Store

@Piter432 Thank you for all the valuable input, and thank you for rating our extension! We're working hard to make the extension as awesome as possible so hearing feedback is very much appreciated. We'll certainly be looking to launch extensions for additional browsers in the near future, and blacklisting as you mention could be a very handy feature!

If I understand your 3rd point correctly, I don't see us bringing other emoji sets into our extension since we've really focused on making our emoji top-notch.

Thanks again!

@Piter432 @caseyahenson Thanks Casey for following up to this.

I would like to thank everyone for their patience. Casey is our new head dev in charge at EmojiOne, and absorbing it all like a pro. Our firefox plans are still on the map, but won't be ported over until we get the Chrome extension where we want it.

In the upcoming month (maybe two) we'll get every possible bug and feature request implemented. Casey is right that we can't necessarily incorporate other emoji sets within EmojiOne, however we do want to at least offer the option to have the native system emoji as the primary. So if you have a Mac, and prefer the keyboard panel to reflect that, we want to offer you that option.

Much more to come, and thanks for supporting our nimble little project!

Please also consider to replace :shortnames: of emojis. The extension only replaces unicode characters but no shortnames. Any reason why not supporting this alternative syntax? I would also like to have the option, to insert shortnames instead.

@Piter432 We just released our Firefox extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/emoji-keyboard-by-emojione/. We do also have a blacklisting feature in the settings that allow you to list sites or pages that you'd like to prevent auto replace from running on. More features to come!

@manu09 I'd be interested to see an example of a page where you'd like to see shortnames auto replaced. We researched and discussed this and came to the conclusion that in nearly all situations where a shortname is present, it exists specifically for the purpose of being read as text.
