Big Idea: Uncertainty in the midst of troubled times is nothing new and while times may be uncertain, God is not.
Moving from, “The Sky is Falling” to “God is in Control”.
1. Find hope from the [text] of others.
Hebrews 11:36-38 NLT
Some were jeered at, and their backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in prisons. Some died by stoning, some were sawed in half, and others were killed with the sword. Some went about wearing skins of sheep and goats, destitute and oppressed and mistreated. They were too good for this world, wandering over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. Today I want to put my life in God’s hands for the first time and be baptized on 6/4
This week I will begin to spend an increasing amount of time in God’s Word and less time in media outlets.
Within the next month I will take some extended time and write a list of the times God has “had my back” and use the list to praise and thank Him.
